Shipping Policy
At Attics and Basements, we take great care in packaging every item to ensure it arrives safely and in the condition described. Each order is handled with attention and respect for its unique history.

Standard orders ship within 3–5 business days.

Custom orders (including engraving or special requests) are processed within 7–10 business days, unless otherwise noted during peak seasons.

🚚 Shipping Method
We ship primarily via USPS, but alternate carriers like UPS or FedEx may be used by request. Please make sure your shipping address is accurate at checkout — your order will be sent to the exact address provided.
✅ Insurance & Accountability
We highly recommend selecting a shipping option that includes insurance, even for lower-value items. This ensures accountability by the carrier (USPS, UPS, or FedEx) should any issue arise in transit.
Once your order is shipped, the responsibility transfers to the shipping carrier. Delivery times and delays are out of our control, and we cannot be held responsible for delays due to carrier issues or customs holdups.

If your package is returned to us as “unclaimed,” “undeliverable,” or due to an invalid address, you will need to pay for reshipment before we can send it again. No refunds will be issued in these cases.

Return and Refund Policy
Thank you for shopping at Attics and Basements. If, for any reason, You are not completely satisfied with a purchase we invite you to review our policy on refunds and returns. Reach out to us if you have any questions.
Shop Policies
We also do our best to describe all our Vintage items from our finds. However we are human and sometimes, details can be overlooked, so that is why we try and photo as much as we can.
As with all our items these items are pre loved, so they are not in any way new, and may show wear and tear on them. That said, please make sure you do your part and look at ALL the pictures we have on the item.
If there is ANY doubt Please reach out so we may replace that doubt with assurance in that it is EXACTLY what you are wanting!

Unless we make the mistake- These one of a kind items are not returnable unless we were the ones to make the mistakes.
Return Period:
- Customers have 7 days from the date of receipt to initiate a return. If return is approved the customer is responsible for the shipping charges back to attics and basements. (unless it was our error)
Eligibility for Return:
- Products must be returned in their original condition,
- and in the same packaging as received.
Non-Returnable Items:
- Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods, custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products).
Return Process:
- Initiate a Return: Contact our customer service team via the provided contact methods to start the return process.
- Approval and Return Label: After reviewing your return request, we will send an approval along with a prepaid return shipping label.
- Shipping the Product Back: Package the product securely and attach the provided shipping label. The item must be shipped back within 7 days of receiving the label.
Refund Process:
- Upon receiving and inspecting the returned item, we will inform you whether your return is approved or rejected. Approved refunds will be processed to the original payment method within a specified number of days.
Exchanges:
- We offer exchanges for defective or damaged products that were NOT stated in the original listing . Contact us for an exchange request, and we will guide you through the process.
Shipping Costs:
- Return shipping costs will be covered by us if the product is defective or damaged. In other cases, customers are responsible for paying the return shipping costs, which are non-refundable.
Exceptions / Non-returnable Items:
- Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food or flowers), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products).

Refunds & Returns on Custom Vintage Orders
While most vintage items are sold as-is, we occasionally receive special requests for customization — such as personalized engraving — which are fulfilled through our sister site, Divine Designs, where all custom laser work is completed in-house.
Please note: customized vintage items are non-returnable and non-refundable, as they are made to order and tailored specifically for the customer. This includes any engraved, altered, or specially requested modifications.
Refunds or exchanges will only be considered if there was an error on our part.
We appreciate your understanding and are proud to offer custom additions that make your vintage finds even more meaningful — crafted with care by the Divine Designs team.
Your Order Cancellation Rights
You are entitled to cancel Your Order within 24 HOURS without giving any reason for doing so.
Conditions for Returns
In order for the Goods to be eligible for a return, there has to be an error that was done on our end. If the order was made wrong we will correct and resend or refund.
