Georgeous doll representing the town of Bayeux in Normandy, France. She has a hand painted face, and is in overall great condition. She is vintage, from the 60s. She is about 7” tall with her headdress. The doll itself is made of plastic.
This lady of Bayeux wears an elevating blue costume with a gold trimmed shawl trimmed in white lace
On her head, she wears the striking headdress, in white muslin and lace on a metallic frame, with two long bands of lace down from the top in two long swathes.
Overall condition of doll is great. Did not notice any damage to her.
Her Plastic box though does show signs of wear and tear. There is no lid and the plastic has been bent. It will come with but it is not in the best condition.
* This doll is not meant for play, but for display, souvenir doll’s garments are often pinned or stitched on them, making it not very convenient for undressing or play and potentially dangerous for children (because of the metal pins).
This doll is from an estate collection of souvenir type dolls from around the world.
