1873 Ripley Ruby Stained MASCOTTE Pyramid Storage Jar RARE

An antique, Early American Pattern Glass ruby red stained storage jar measuring approx 4 1/2″ tall and 4 1/2″ wide. This jar is in the Mascotte pattern produced by Ripley & Company c.1874 and the US Glass Company c. 1891. This pattern is also referred to as the Dominion or Minor Block pattern. This jar is marked on the bottom “Patented May 20 1873”. It is in very good condition with no chips, cracks or repairs. The ruby stain is in good shape . This jar was originally part of the stacking set referred to as the Pyramid or Egyptian Jars set which consists of 3, 5 or 8 jars which stack on top of each other. This is a beautiful piece (s) and would be a great addition to any collection or set.
