How It All Began…
Most people dont stumble into a vintage shop. We slipped into ours like a story that had been waiting for us the whole time.
It began with grocery money — $400 meant for a week of ordinary life — and a bet. A playful dare between us: What if we had the same instinct for nostalgia as those Storage Wars folks?
So instead of aisles of produce, we wandered into an abandoned storage locker sale. Yes, the plan was to flip it and get our food money back… but then something unexpected happened. We realized it wasnt about the flip at all (even though we did make back the grocery money, and a little bill money too).
It was the worlds tucked inside those dusty boxes that changed everything.
We didnt find junk. We found memory. A spark of someones childhood thought to be lost. A keepsake still holding the breath of the person who once cherished it.
Pieces that felt like they were quietly waiting for someone new to remember them.
We didnt just make our money back, we uncovered something truer:
We have a gift for finding the things that still want to matter.
Since then, our path has meandered through estate sales, attic clear-outs, basements full of echoes, and online corners where forgotten treasures try not to vanish.
Every item we touch has a story. We listen to where it came from, who loved it, why it survived. Vintage isnt just “old”…its experienced.
Our shelves now hold hundreds of rescued memories, each waiting for the person whose heart will recognize them.
Our purpose is simple:
To keep stories alive.
To be caretakers of the past until it finds the hands meant to hold it next.

Where Were Headed
Every great treasure story has two parts: the moment you find the magic, and the moment you realize the magic is finding you. Were somewhere in the middle of that second part.
The hunt still calls to us — not the loud, chaotic chase of profit, but the quiet thrill of discovering something that still hums with life. We keep rescuing pieces with personality, charm, and a stubborn refusal to be forgotten. These are the heirlooms our children will inherit, not just as objects, but as the threads of a family tale theyll one day continue.
Because Attics & Basements was never meant to be “just a shop.” Its becoming a legacy project, a family craft, a world were building brick by brick, memory by memory. A place where our kids learn independence, resourcefulness, and the alchemy of turning curiosity into possibility.
But our story doesnt end in the attic. Our home is a little universe of its own, a house full of makers, dreamers, midnight brainstormers, and half-finished ideas that eventually become something beautiful.
